Students from Jiangsu University volunteered to guide middle-aged and elderly residents how to study the Civil Code online on August 27 via computers and mobile phones in Pingshan Village, Guantangqiao Sub-district, Zhenjiang City, East China's Jiangsu Province. They also explained relevant legal knowledge to the villagers.

The Civil Code, known as "the Encyclopedia of Social Life," was adopted at the third session of the 13th National People's Congress, China's top legislature, on May 28, and will take effect on January 1, 2021.
